I grew up in a very small town in the mountains of a Latin American country in the 90s. Like many kids back then, I dreamed of becoming a fútbol (soccer) player or an astronaut. Neither came true, so my ambition now is to write stories about astronauts playing fútbol on the Moon. I blame my dad's collection of science fiction books for that lifelong obsession.

I went to film school for a few years because I once harbored delusions of becoming a famous filmmaker. Most of my adult life has been spent grinding for a living in crappy customer service jobs, which nurtured a deep hatred for all that exists. Science fiction once again came to my rescue. If we can imagine great superluminal vehicles and fantastical creatures, why shouldn't we reimagine this one reality we inhabit?
